Week 6 - Art Enrichment - Halloween Edition Squeegee Art The children came up to the art table to create their ghost artwork by white paint, a squeegee and then added googly eyes to each of their ghost family halloween art pieces. This was a such fun and creative art project. No class next week or the following week. School will be closed for Election Day and Veteran’s Day.

Week 5 - Art Enrichment - I’m NOT Just a Scribble I’m Not Just a Scribble... is a children’s book by author and illustrator Diane Alber about a little scribble who learns to embrace his uniqueness. The story teaches themes of kindness, inclusion, and creativity, showing how differences can lead to amazing art when people work together. The book is designed to encourage children to be proud of their own artwork and to accept others for who they are The child came up to the art table and created their artwork by using markers and adding stickers to each of their scribble art pieces. This was a such fun and creative art project. See you next week!

This week, we learned the Spanish word for the number 4 “cuatro” and good afternoon “buenas tardes”. We reviewed hola, uno, dos ,tres, hasta luego and adios. There is no Spanish class next Thursday due a staff meeting.

Week 3 - Art Enrichment- We read the picture book “A color of my own” by Leo Lionni A little chameleon is distressed that he doesn’t have his own color like other animals. The children were then called up to the art table one by one to create their artwork using different colors to paint on bubble wrap. Then they pressed down their precut chameleon down onto the painted bubble wrap. We will see you next week!

Week 1 - We read the interactive picture book “Mix It Up” by Herve Tullet. WATCH COLORS SPLATTER, MiX, AND TRANSFORM, ALL AT THE TOUCH OF A FINGER. FOLLOW THE DiRECTIONS AND TURN THE PAGE:MAGiC AND FUN AWAiT! The children were then called up to the art table one by one to create their artwork using different color paint and a ruler to drag the paint across the paper. Their artwork is still drying. We will send it home next week.

Our first month of school is now complete for our TTH classes. Goodbye, September. 🍎9.30.25🍎

It is about a little girl named Vashti who believes she can’t draw, but is encouraged by her art teacher to “make a mark and see where it takes you” The children were then called up to the art table one by one to create their “dot” artwork using dot markers.

Hip, Hip, Hooray, it’s our last day! Today was our last day of the Summer Program. We celebrated with “water day” brought to you by Huntington Manor Fire Department. What a way to wrap transportation week. Stay tuned for a reel of all the Fire Truck fun!

This morning, we had a Naturalist from The WaterFront Center visit us. He brought live marine animals with him and taught us all about them. Our little ones were provided with a hands on learning experience with their mobile touch tank. The children were fascinated by learning, seeing and touching the different kinds of sea life native to right here on Long Island especially Oyster Bay. Thank you, to The Waterfront Center for providing this educational experience to our preschoolers. 🐟🐠🦀🐚🦪🦞

Session 2 is under way. We started week 3 today and it’s Sea Life Week! 🐙🐟🐠🐡

That’s a wrap! Session 1 is complete. Week 2 - Farm Week is done. We say goodbye to our friends who will not be attending Session 2. We will miss you and hope you enjoy the rest of your summer. Session 2 begins Tuesday, July 22nd. We will be welcoming some new friends who will be joining us. We look forward to see you then. Next week (week 3) is our Sea Life Week. On Wednesday, the Waterfront people will be visiting us and bringing a touch tank as they will teach the children about sea life. Have a great weekend!

🎶 Our Session 1 of the Summer Program concluded today with special musical guest, Mrs. Laurie Haddock. Mrs. Haddock had the children singing, dancing and playing instruments using our Farm Week theme. Thank you, Mrs. Haddock! The children really enjoyed this wonderful music experience.
