Session 3/Week 4 of Spanish Enrichment class. This week, students learned that orejas means ears, and we reviewed cabeza (head), ojos (eyes), nariz (nose) along with numbers, colors and greetings.
We also played with Mr. Potato Heads to reinforce our head parts in Spanish.

What a fantastic Ice Cream Social we had! 🍦✨
This afternoon was filled with laughter, delicious sundaes, and great memories made with friends. We enjoyed lunch together, played duck duck goose, had fun with ‘Pin the Cherry on the Ice Cream,’ and delighted in some ice cream stories! 📚🍒
Our PREK class even did Freeze Dance, where everyone showed off their best moves and froze in silly poses! 🕺❄️

🎉 What a special day! 🎓 Today, our amazing high school seniors from the Class of 2026 (formerly the PREK Class of 2013) returned to where it all began! They visited their beloved PREK teacher and classroom, bringing back a flood of memories.

Week 4 - Invitation to Create - Bugs
Today, we had a blast using circles, ovals, and rectangles to bring bugs to life! It’s a fantastic way to boost our shapes, colors, and creativity, while also honing our hand-eye coordination. Plus, we’re getting ready for pre-K, so these glowing skills are super important. The class really nailed it with their bug creations! See you next week when we build ice cream cones.
We’re excited to announce that our Art Enrichment class session 3 is officially underway! It is our Invitation to Create series. Each week will feature a new creation, from flowers and bugs to sea creatures and sand castles —just to name a few.
This week, the children had a blast creating their own cupcakes, using fun pre-cut shapes to design their very own masterpieces. This session is all about using their hand-eye coordination, color recognition, and shape identification, which will be a great boost as they prepare for pre-K next year.
The children were thrilled with today’s session, and we can’t wait to see what they come up with next week!
Music & Movement Enrichment – Session 3, Week 1
Today, we began filling out our passports as we traveled through the world of music! 🌎🎶 We learned about the United States of America, talked about the banjo—a special instrument that comes from America—and explored rhythms by moving fast and slow. The kiddos had so much fun discovering new sounds and beats! 🥁✨
Today in Pre-K, we started our day by coloring pictures that begin with the letter V and practicing tracing the letter V. We also had fun playing a game of “Kaboom!”
Afterward, we went to the gym where we did some stretching, running, and played a game of Four Corners.
During centers, the children explored a variety of activities including community helpers, watercolor painting, building, stickers, and playing with little Legos.
Art Enrichment - Today, we had a blast creating bunny rabbit faces using all sorts of fun, leftover art supplies! We used buttons, pipe cleaners, coffee stirs, cardboard, doilies, pom-poms, and newspaper to make each bunny unique. It was a fantastic craft lesson that taught us how to upcycle materials and get creative.

Welcome to the third session of Spanish enrichment. This session will focus on learning Spanish words for body parts. We’ll explore terms like “cabeza” (head), “hombros” (shoulders), “rodillas” (knees), and “dedos” (toes). Each week, we’ll create a page for our book, which the child will receive at the end of the session. We hope your child enjoys this enriching experience.

Pre-K Lunch Bunch 🌸
Today we made cherry blossom trees! We learned that you can see many beautiful cherry blossom trees in Japan. These special flowers only bloom for a short time each year, which makes them extra special to see. The children had fun creating their own pink and beautiful blossoms! 🌸🌳
Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Today begins Session 3 of Art Enrichment! To celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, we crafted a shamrock collage art using all things green and adorned it with a lucky gold coin to complete our project. ☘️
Next week, we’ll embark on another collage art project, this time for Easter. 🐣

Music and Movement Enrichment – Session 2, Week 10
Today, we wrapped up our session by making festive St. Patrick’s Day wands! ☘️ The children had so much fun decorating their wands and then waving them while listening and moving to lively Irish music. We danced, twirled, and shook our wands to the rhythm. It was a magical and joyful way to celebrate the holiday together! 🌈✨
🎨 Week 10 marks the conclusion of Session 2. Our final color for this session is “Gris,” which translates to “Gray” in English. 🩶
To complete our color books, they painted pictures of sharks and elephants in the color “Gris.”
We reviewed numbers, greetings, and colors we’ve learned from the previous weeks.
The children proudly brought home their Book of Colors today. I’m eagerly looking forward to seeing you all next week when we embark on Session 3, which will focus on “Our Body.” 🙂
In today’s Art Enrichment class, we finished Part 2 of our Monochromatic Collage Art! They added the same color objects to their paintings to create Monochromatic Art—meaning, one color!
Then, we started next week’s project by painting shamrock’s green. Next week, we will add green color objects to create collage art for St. Patrick’s Day! ☘️ Looking forward to seeing you next week.
Music and Movement Enrichment
Session 2 – Week 9: Maracas
Today we moved to the beat of maracas! The children had so much fun shaking, dancing, and keeping the rhythm during our music time. We also made our own maracas and used them to play along with the music. It was a fun and lively day full of music and movement! 🎶🥁✨
We had an amazing time on Spirit Day! The storybook character costumes were incredibly creative and impressive. Thanks to everyone who joined in on the fun! We also enjoyed music with Miss Laurie, and the kids loved playing instruments and learning new songs. Miss Laurie always brings so much energy. And remember, it's parent teacher conference week - we're excited to meet with you.

Spirit Day was a huge hit. Everyone did a great job dressing up as their favorite storybook characters. We loved seeing all the creative costumes. Thanks for participating. And don't forget, it's parent teacher conference week. We're looking forward to seeing you at the conferences.

Music & Movement Enrichment – Session 2, Week 7 🥁
This week we had a drum-tastic time! We made our very own drums using coffee cans and explored different sounds we could create—soft, loud, fast, and slow. Then the excitement grew as we got to play on real drums, feeling the beat and moving to the rhythm.
So much musical fun while learning about sound and rhythm! 🎶✨
🎨 Colorful Spanish Adventures: “Rosa” is the color of the week💖
What a vibrant week of learning we’ve had! Our little language explorers dove into the world of “Rosa” (pink), transforming their color book pages into magical canvases. 🌸 Imagine piggy pink paintings, rosy roses, and creative splashes of color bringing Spanish to life! 🐷
We took a delightful journey down memory lane, refreshing our numbers, greetings, and colors from our previous weeks. And the cherry on top? Our magical word of the week - “amore’” (love) - because learning is all about spreading joy! ❤️
